Best prop firm spreads, measured live.
Prop Spread samples bid and ask quotes from connected prop firm account feeds, converts every spread to dollars per one-lot round turn with published commissions included, and ranks firms over a rolling window. What firms actually cost, not what they claim.
What you can do here
- Watch the live spread board across EUR/USD, GBP/USD, gold, NAS100 and GER40.
- Compare any two firms head to head, in dollars at your lot size.
- Price the same trade at every firm with the trade cost simulator, ranked cheapest first.
- Plan trades with seven calculators: cost per trade, position size, drawdown, recovery, profit split, risk to reward and pip value.
- Read the full measurement methodology, including honest disclosure of demo versus verified data.
The trade cost simulator
Directly under the live board, the trade cost simulator prices one round turn of the same trade at every firm on the board and orders them cheapest first. You choose the instrument, the lot size and how many trades you place a month; the estimate for each firm is that firm's spread cost over the rolling 15 minute sampling window plus the round-turn commission it publishes, and each firm is shown with the gap between it and the cheapest firm in that result.
No firm holds a fixed position in that order and none is used as a reference point: the order comes from the measured spreads and the published schedules, so it changes as the data changes and as you change the scenario. A firm whose feed has no sample, whose commission is not published, or whose feed has stopped reporting is named with the reason instead of being given an estimate.
Frequently asked
- How often do the spreads update?
- Spreads are re-sampled from connected feeds on a short interval and the board refreshes as new snapshots arrive. Rankings reflect a rolling 15 minute window, so a single lucky tick does not decide the leader.
- Are these tradable prices?
- No. The figures are indicative snapshots for comparison, not tradable quotes. Actual fills vary by account type, server, liquidity and time of day.
- How is the cost per trade calculated?
- We combine the live spread with each firm's published round turn commission for a standardized scenario, so two firms can be compared on equal terms. Slippage is shown separately as a labeled assumption.
- Do you take money from the firms you list?
- Rankings are driven by measured spread data and a transparent methodology. Discount codes may be partner links, and they never change the order of the board.
- What is the PropSpread Score?
- It is a composite 0 to 100 rating that blends trading costs, execution, payouts, transparency, support and technology with community feedback, using a published weighted methodology.
- Which instruments do you track?
- The live board currently covers EUR/USD, GBP/USD, Gold, US Tech 100 and GER40, with more instruments planned. Each is sampled across every connected firm.
- Do I need an account to use the board?
- No. The board, the comparisons, the calculators and the guides are open to everyone. An account adds the signed-in area on top: saved settings and the affiliate dashboard.
- Why does a cell say Warming up?
- Statistics for a cell are published only after enough samples exist, and the cell shows the real count while it gets there. A number appears when it is earned, never before.
- What happens when a market is closed?
- The cell says stats resume at reopen and keeps its last received values visible. Nothing is extrapolated over a closed session and closed-session quotes never pollute the headline averages.
Firm data and comparisons
This tool provides an indicative comparison of spreads and estimated execution costs based on periodic snapshots from connected data feeds and normalized trade assumptions. Displayed values are not tradable quotes and may differ from prices available on any provider's live accounts. Spreads vary by account type, server, liquidity conditions, and time of day. Competitor names and marks belong to their respective owners; no affiliation or endorsement is implied. The "Average Prop Firm" benchmark is a computed composite of sampled competitor feeds, not the published pricing of any specific firm. Cost estimates use a normalized trade scenario and do not constitute financial advice or a prediction of trading results.
