About the firm

Institutional Funding is a younger prop firm that competes on running costs: it publishes a commission of $3 per lot round turn on forex, metals and indices, and processes payout requests within two business days. Execution and MT5 infrastructure run through TRDX, which holds an FSCA licence (FSP 53738); IF holds no licence of its own.

Its published record, as checked on 19 Aug 2026: account sizes from $10,000 to $200,000 including a $150,000 tier, a profit split starting at 70 percent with a ceiling of 100, and a funded-phase consistency rule under which no single trading day may account for more than 20 percent of total profit. Its challenge pricing and drawdown model aren't in the record.

Prop Spread's editors feature it. It's measured with the same pipeline, the same commission maths and the same publication checks as every firm, and being featured never moves it up. Its terms can change, so confirm them on institutional-funding.com before buying an evaluation.

Where it's strong

  • A published two-business-day payout processing commitment, faster on paper than the cycle-based schedules most rivals publish.
  • The lowest published forex and metals commission among the firms we track: $3 per lot round turn.
  • Execution infrastructure through a named, FSCA-licensed counterparty.

Trade-offs to weigh

  • A shorter public record than the established firms: less third-party documentation, fewer published process details and no licence of its own.
  • On index CFDs its $3 commission is a cost the other three firms don't charge.
  • The 20 percent single-day consistency rule is a real constraint for burst-style traders: one outsized day can make an otherwise passing account non-compliant.

Who it may suit

Traders for whom commission is the deciding line item, and traders who value fast payout processing over a long track record. Traders whose strategy concentrates profit into single large days should read the consistency rule carefully before paying.
